Quail Toxin Binder

In poultry industry the farming of quail birds is geared up due to its taste and higher nutritional value. The egg of quail contains more nutritional value than the egg of poultry birds. There are many benefits of quail farming as they require less space, low investment, early sexual maturity to lay eggs and high rate of egg production. But the effectiveness of the quail farming becomes low when it gets affected by toxins as they are carrier of acute to chronic diseases which can cause loss in farming and affect the health and performance of quail birds. There are different known toxins but Aflatoxins (AFs) is the most harmful toxin. The toxicity and its occurrence is high and can contaminate variety of feed stuffs. It can cause reduction in growth rate and feed efficiency, decreased EP & hatchability and increased susceptibility to diseases and mortality. To get rid out of this is nearly impossible as the feed is contaminated with at least one type of mycotoxin. They usually grow on the surface of the feed and it is caused due to improper storage, climate change, humidity or during transportation.

These quail birds are highly sensitive to Aflatoxins. Its toxicity in the body can cause reduction in egg production, low growth and enlargement can be seen in organs like kidney & Liver. In some worst condition it may leads to death. In this ill situation there we use quail toxin binder along with the feed which helps in lowering the toxicity from the body. Protox is one of the reliable toxin binders which can cure fungal infection in quail and selectively binds the toxins that are present in the feed.
