Trace minerals are essentially needed for improving the production efficiency of poultry. In farming of layers birds which are commercially farmed for their eggs the use of trace minerals is essentially needed for better formation of eggs. Some of the essential trace minerals like zinc, copper, cobalt, manganese etc. are needed for better health and productivity. These minerals function both as enzyme cofactors and as constituents of metalloenzymes. If the feed consumption is low in poultry which is caused due to heat stress or due to low nutritional value in the feed the efficiency of the laying eggs gets low. To remove this there is need of trace mineral supplement which should be used along with the feed to remove all kinds of mineral deficiency from the body. We should increase the dietary content with addition of mineral premix. There we use Anfaboost ATM which is an excellent trace mineral and mineral premix which is used. Zinc present in ATM helps in activating enzymes and is essential for growth, DNA synthesis, protein synthesis (collagen & keratin). These proteins have large impact on embryo development. Keratin helps in better formation of feathers, skin, claws & beaks. Copper is used for reproduction and embryonic development and manganese improves growth and fertility.
While considering the egg production the quality of the egg matters a lot. The deficiency of zinc can lead to reduced shell weight and strength as this element helps in supplying carbonate ions for formation of egg shells. To get hard and smooth egg shell the level of calcium must be adequate in the body which results improving eggshell quality
