Mycotoxin are commonly present in almost all kind of poultry feed which affect the nutritional value of the feed and lowers the health of the poultry birds and affects poultry farming. Mycotoxins can affect the poultry bird either individually or additively in presence of one or more mycotoxin which may affect various organs of the body such as gastrointestinal tract, liver, immune system etc. which eventually result in low productivity, health and growth. In some extreme cases it results in mortality. These toxins are filamentous fungi which grows on the feed of poultry or in drinking water and makes it contaminated. The effect of mycotoxin depends upon the length of time, level of contamination and the length of time the animal is consuming the feed. Aflatoxins (AF), zearalenone (ZEN), ochratoxin A (OTA), fumonisins (FUM), trichothecenes such as deoxynivalenol (DON), and T-2 toxin are some of the mycotoxins that can significantly impact the health and productivity of poultry. With the use of mycotoxin binder with the feed we can significantly reduce the effect of mycotoxin. These toxin binder breaks the chemical structure of the mycotoxins and deactivate the affect of the toxins. These mycotoxins produce different types of diseases in combination of pathogens.
To detoxify the effect of toxins we use “Protox” a reliable poultry toxin binder which significantly reduce toxins from the feed and improves the health. It consists of MOS, Bacillus Subtilis, Liver extracts etc. In combination with this we should use poultry feed enzymes along with this toxin binder. Enzymes helps in better digestion and absorption of the feed nutrients in the gut.
